Immune Thrombocytopenia Purpura in Children in Lebanon: Prevalence, Treatment Modalities, and Clinical Outcomes in a Retrospective Study

Background: Immune thrombocytopenia purpura (ITP) is one of the most common autoimmune diseases in children characterized by a decreased number circulating platelets combined with impaired platelet production. There limited literature data on prevalence and treatment modalities, outcome ITP from Lebanon. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed demographic clinical 59 patients aged 0–18 years diagnosed between January 2007 April 2016 different hospitals Beirut south Results: represented 2.5% total admitted to these during this period.
